I totally understand your frustration, having to pay out-of-pocket for a service you thought was a covered expense. For example, I just received a phone call from my allergist's main billing office. Apparently, I was supposed to pay a $10.00 copay for my weekly allergy injections, but no one in the allergist's office ever told me. Now I owe $170.00! Geez!
Even though you're frustrated, please consider keeping your six-month checkup with your surgeon. Your long-term health should be a priority and not getting your post-op checkups might be detrimental to your health. Just consider the $92.00 as a small price to pay for good health the rest of your life.
