Calendar
I noticed that there was a calendar on this programme. Maybe we should all add our names to the Februar calendar that way we dont loose track of who is turning the page and on which day? Is there someone who maintains these calendars? does anyone know?
Cheers for now

Unfortunately, it seems that calendar functions needs to have some years added to it, it has stopped at Dec. 08, lol... oh well. I liked the idea, maybe we could send an email to the site admin.

Lynda will take care of the list, as she does every month. It'll be titled "*~*Feburary 2009 Staplers*~* and will have a list all in one post of who is having surgery, their date, and their location.....
She posts this on the last day of the month for the following, and if you're not showing in that list, you can have her add you... this makes it easy to follow who is having surgery when.

Countdown begins in earnest
How is everyone doing who are scheduled on the 9th? I am trying desperately to distract myself. Obsessive takes on a new meaning .. cannot stop thinking about it every second of the day. In many ways I cant wait for it to be over so that I can finally stop worrying about it ... How about the rest of you?

Well, I, too, can't stop thinking about it, but I am so excited! It is all I want to talk about, too. Not just the surgery or recovery, but what I want to do with my renewed life. I am about 18 months away from my 50th birthday (wow, no way I'm that old!) and I was telling my husband that what I wanted for my birthday was to go on a trip anywhere bathing suits were worn a lot! I am anticipating all that I can go in the months to come. What I can do to change my life, not just with the weight loss either. I hope you can see beyond the surgery, too, to enjoy the thrill of your renewed life.
Okay, TMI (too much information) time!
I had to have a barium enema today (due to history of anemia) and it was fascinating to watch. I got to see my insides, I could see my spine, hips, appendix (that one had to be pointed out to us by the doctor) and of course, intestines. It really was spectacular! But the best part of it was when I asked how it all looked, the doc said, it all looked good so far and right before she finished & left, she said, it was all normal! So forbidding any surprises in my pre-op lab work, it looks like my surgery in a week is a GO, GO, GO!!
Corinna, do you have any more appts or tests or procedures left? Keep in touch and I will try to do better, too.

Hi Michelle,
Like you I am projecting into the future and thinking like you that I want to wear a bathing suit again without the sense of shame that goes with it.
I am hoping that I will fit as a fiddle again and be able to do all the sports I had abandonned due to weight gain. I used to horse back ride and for years I gave up thinking the poor animal that wouldhave to carry me... now I am thinking .. soon ... in hopefully a years time I can start again with a sport that I loved.
I am a smoker and have decided that on 9 February I will give up .. all part of the new package .. take advantage of quitting and loosing weight as opposed to quitting and gaining weight ..
So like you .. am listing the positives and have stopped reading about the negatives .. there is no point.
Lets keep in touch ...
God bless
C
