Dear Michel,
Good luck .. wishing you lots of courage too .. something sadly lacking at this end.
Since joining this site I have found the support amazing and the stories very encouraging.
Please lets keep in touch ... we have our re-birth date together

I'm scheduled to have my lap RNY done on Monday, February 9, 2009. Good luck to all of us!

Default Feb 9th

Well, it looks like there are quite a few of us on the 9th. Good luck to all as we start our journey. Anyone else had to start their liquid diet yesterday? How is it going?

Wink

my surgeon has put me on the milk diet - not the other liquid diets such as medifast. I am supposed to be on it for four weeks - I am only a few days in to it - and I am REALLY struggling. All of a sudden, I am so hypersensitive to the sight and smell of food. I am constantly hungry - and really grouchy as well. How is it going for you? My lap rny is scheduled for 2/20/09

My diet seems to be more liberal than most. She put me on 2 weeks pre op and I I can have jello, cream soups, yogurt, slim fast, fruit juice, Pudding, etc. Could be qa lot worst, I'm finishing day 2 and I think I'll be fine, lol.l

Cool

Macarths, I'm so sorry you having a difficult time with the pre-op diet, I know it can't be easy. Don't hate me, but I'm lucky, my surgeon doesn't think the pre-op diets are necessary. I only have to do a liquid diet the day before the surgery. However, I do have to have a barium enema on Monday, so I have a rigid 2 day prep this weekend if that will make you feel better .

Kajn, where in LA are you? I have relatives in S'port and go there whenever I can. Not so often right now though, since we currently aren't in Texas.

Corinna, I hope you are feeling better about your surgery. I am so glad you started this thread, not just for yourself, but allowing all of us Feb Staplers to get in touch.

Corinna, Nume, Delane, Cabbie, Kajn... less then 2 weeks out! WOOHOO How exciting to have others to take this journey with me! I hope everyone stays in touch for moral support, encouragement, cheering, celebrating and we all do the skinny dance together (if there isn't an official skinny dance, I think we should make one )

Macarths, maybe with meeting so many going thru the same thing just before you, you will have lots of success stories to inspire you. I look forward to hearing how you are doing, too.

Had my last pre-op visit with the surgeon today and barring anything bad being found in the barium enema, I won't see him again until the 9th! That so works for me!

Just want to say that reading your thread, gathering all the February losers, it puts a smile on my face. I didn't have any type of support like this, so you all enjoy it and count it as a huge asset as you prepare for your big event.

We'll be here cheering on the Valentine Losers!

Hi Everyone - I am on day 13 of my liquid diet (optifast) and doing ok. I do get to eat a bar everyday . I glad to see that there are so many of us here for Feb!!. I got to the surgeon on 2-4 for my pre op visit but with my program you are required to go the classes and clinic for 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after so I see the weight management doc, nut, & head doc there.
