Unhappy My Surgery Has Been Cancelled

I don't know where to start. I remember in my last thread I was saying I didn't want to get to excited about having surgery because something always happens. I guess its true bad things happen to good people. My surgeon called today to tell me that my WBC were very high. He said that I might have appendicitis or a UTI . So I have to take antibiotics twice a day for a week.

After all I have been through one more hurdle to pass. This will be my fourth surgery date. It hurts so much but in my heart I know it is all for the best. I do appreciate you guys support and encouraging words. I think it hurts so much because everyone thought I was going to become a LOSER and once again I am still a Fool. I am staying strong its all I have. Please keep me in your prayers

Unhappy

I'm sorry that happened! It's better that you are healthy when you go into it though. Ask him to remove your appenix when you have your surgery!!
Don't worry it will happen!

Default It's all good

I know it is easy for me to say now that it will all work out and happen when it is supposed to because I'm already done. However, thank God they did that test on you and found that out prior to going under the knife!! Could you imagine the kind of infection you would have gotten if you hadn't had the blood work done? My goodness you could have seriously gotten very ill or worse.. ack!! So do know that you will still be a loser one day.. but it's just not going to be today or tomorrow.. but it WILL happen.. and you'll be glad when it does. Good luck to you and know that you're in our thoughts and prayers.

Oh Denise I am sorry to hear of the delay. I know you will hang in there and you won't give up. Call me if you need to vent.

I feel blessed right now. I am not going to lie I am hurt and very disappointed but I am glad it all happened the way it did. I know it will all pan out. I thank you so much for your encouragment. I love you guys. I have a wonderful surgeon and I know he wanted this for me just as much as I did. I know this affected me but I also see it kind of affected thoes around me and last thing I want to do is see anyone hurting on my account.

denise
sooner than you think you will be on the losing end of the mountain. i do know about one thing in life the harder the way to the goal the better the feeling youll have once you get to it. these things happen for a reason if its a simple uti youll be good in a few days if its the appendix well its better to know that now than after the last thing you want or need is to go have a big appendectomy right after you just come from wls. god is a wise guy he likes to play but its always with our best intentions at heart even though we dont always see that
good luck
Eric

It may not feel like it right now, but Gods timing is perfect. When you are denied the thing you desire, it's usually because He has something even better for you. Stay strong - we love you

Hey denise. Hang in there. We both are around the same goal weight too. I dont want to be skinny either!
Your luck sounds a lot like mine, In december I was scheduled to have the surgery then something came up moneywise and I couldnt. Then Again in March but then another thing came up and I couldnt. I was devistated and thought Id NEVER get this surgery (We pay through our pockets, no insurance on this part of the globe). But finally June 5th I got to have it. It really is devistating but hopefully this will be the last hurdle you have to go through....and even if it isnt if youve gone through this much it just makes you stronger to go through another one......cheer up hun..they wanna make sure you'll be ok. It'll happen.

I'm so sorry you've been delayed again. Everything happens for a reason and you don't want to have any complications. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
