Default terms

I have already had my surgery and wanted to know what the different terms mean. Like I had Gastric bypass surgery, I see people on this site have had RNY, open, open RNY, what does that stand for and which are what?
Thanks

Open means you have one, big incision down your abdomen to access the organs.

RNY is abbreviated from Roux-en-Y, which is the more common type of bypass surgery.
