My cat needs a tummy tuck
Just thought I'd post this... we find it pretty funny.
We have this cat, her name is Brindle. She's almost 8 years old. She's very sweet, but I have to admit, we've always teased her because she's soooo fat! She has always had this belly that hangs down and almost drags on the ground underneath her. When she lays down on her hunches she looks like a big fluffy pillow!
We don't know what happened, but recently she's lost some weight. (She's not sick) She's slimmer and not so wide. She feels lighter (haven't weighed her), and we started noticing her tummy is gone... BUT... her skin still hangs where her tummy used to be!
My daughter asked why it still hangs and I could only tell her, must be stretched skin and she must need a tummy tuck (like someone I know ) I also find myself calling her "Skinny Kitty" and teasing her. Boy... I am just as bad as all those who've made their comments to me or what?!
It's nice to have the attention on someone else in the house for a change!

Oh my gawdddd...I laughed so hard at that one! I have 2 dachshunds; brothers. Otis is 13 lbs. and his brother, Chuck is a whopping 28 lbs. They basically eat the same stuff, no table foods, etc. We had Chuck's thyroid checked and other blood work. All tests are negative. The vet basically said that Chuck is a thief and is stealing food. We always joke around about Chuck needing gastric bypass too. Chuck has been on a diet and we have to take him to be weighed once a month. He has lost a couple pounds, so that's a good thing.

Get that cat a surgeon! lol We have a dog that is as wide as he is long and the vet has been on us to get him to lose some weight. The poor old boy is 13 and I can't bring myself to put him on a diet now. He's blind in one eye and is missing a couple teeth. We sure will miss him when he leaves us but for now he'll do so being chubby!

You all are cracking me up! We have a Maine Coon kitty and a mixed breed with Siamese in her. Every time we put the Maine Coon on a diet, the other one loses weight. They are both 13 yrs old and Jean Claude (MC) has arthritis, plus grooming issues -- WLS??

My friends have a cat named Larry who has the same problem.
Everytime he really gets going (usually when he's running for food) his saggy tummy swings back and forth underneath him..... It's cute

I have not one, not two, but FIVE kitties. Two are usually pretty plump, but they have lost weight recently too. So now they have the saggy skin hanging down that swings when they move. Wonder if we can find a kitty plastic surgeon who will give us a quantity discount??
