Hi Linda,

Thank you so much for your support. (Geez I love this place and the these people are just the bestest).

Hubby and I are still newlywed sickning even though we'll be having our 21st anniversary in November. Where did the time go? haha

Hi Shetaz. Bear with me as I am new to this forum and advise thing.
First I have Tricare Prime as well. You do not have to have 6 months of WL prior to surgery. You do have to find a very good surgeon and program that cares about you and your goal. You will have to testify to all your WL failures. I had surgery on August 26. I am still healing and am still trying to figure out the eating and drinking. It is very confusing, but very worth it. My husband was career Air Force and he had the same reservations that you're husband has. But I told my husband. I am getting this surgery, I am doing it for me, first and foremost and if you don't like it we have bigger problems than thinking because I am skinny that I am going to find someone else. I could do that this size. I am like you, I don't care about shopping. I care about living. I have three daughters 17, 13 and 3. I want to be there for them forever, as well as my husband. He was with me all the way when I asked him to just support me and love me the same way no matter what. He now walks around and tells me how sexy I am etc.... its only been 2 weeks. Can't wait to see what his reaction is in 2 months. You will do fine and so will your husband. Remind him, how much better everything will be when you're smaller. Good luck.

Thumbs up Support is great! You go girl!

Hi Shetaz: My husband was unsure of all this WLS stuff too. When I first suggested it he just said why not just try harder? We had a really good heart to heart talk. I was really honest and told him that I've been fighting this weight loss battle all our married life--we will be married 25 years in October. Then after showing him posts here, along with before/after photos he has had a complete change of heart. He is so very supportive and so is my 15 year old daughter. Without them and my faith in God I would never go thru this. You will be just fine.
