Default Hello ladies!!

I too can eat pretty much anything and everything. The only side effect I have experienced is shaking if I have too much sugar.
I can't complain...I am down over 100 pounds. Some day I'm going to post pictures

I hope you are all well. I am excited for your replies!!

I haven't been on here in a long time, though I do wander in to read occassionally. It has been a fantastic year, I have lost 112lbs since surgery and feel wonderful. I had a great trip to Israel/Jordan in March which I would have had a hard time doing a year ago. I still have some weight to lose but I try to follow the rules and stay busy. My bloodwork is great. I also can eat pretty much anything but do not push the line in that direction. I get a hotflash if I eat to much sugar or simple carbs, not much of a deterant(sp) esp. at my age!

Hope to hear from others that are a year out, looking forward to another healthy year.

I haven't check in here in awhile. I stayed away from the forum because I found it just very depressing and discouraging (my own "head" problems, nothing anyone here said to me). I felt like everyone was losing faster than me (they pretty much are). I basically went into a stall in December that I stayed in for FIVE months, then I lost a few more pounds and I'm stalled again. I've lost just about 80 in a little over a year (some was lost pre-op as well). I expected to be closer to goal (which is probably 150) by now.

As far as food goes, I get the shakes, nausea, etc., if I eat sugar and sometimes too many carbs (it's a little unpredictable). I don't eat fried food. I was eating about 1500 cal and day and have now cut down to about 1200, trying to lose. It's tough to eat that little, I get just as hungry as I did before surgery, I just get filled up on less.

I had my 1 year appt. in late May and the PA didn't come right out and say I should have lost more, but I could see it in her eyes and when I asked. 80 in one year just isn't that great (especially at the weight I started at), IMO.

I'm in size 14 pants. The hanging belly fat is an issue. One good thing, my hair has grown back (I lost about 1/3 of it and got it cut short at the 6 month mark). I think it's almost as thick as it was before. I still haven't thrown up once since surgery, I think I'm an anomaly there. I sometimes wish I was more food sensitive.

Anyway, that's my story. I'm glad to hear others are doing so well.

I'm also a June 08 stapler. I got down to 136, but am up to 140 (started at 227). I'm am hungry A LOT. I wish I wasn't. I can eat almost whatever. Too much sugar makes me nauseous (thank God). And I do eat less...especially chicken and steak. That fills me up fast. I have no hanging fat, so that's good! I'm happy where I am, but am afraid I'm falling into bad eating habits...I admit it.
