Default Clothes dilemma

Here’s the situation. I had surgery 2/1/05. As of 4/24/05 I am 219 pounds down 71. My problem is I really want to start buying clothes. Should I resist? I bought a 36 inch waist pair of Levis that fit well and would like to get more. Can anyone look into the future and tell me that I will not be wasting my money if I do? If I lose 30 more pounds I would be most likely closer to a 34 waist right?

if you have the urge to shop your best bet is to go as cheap as you can so your not wasting to much money. and only by a few things to get you to the next stage.

Lightbulb Hit the thrift stores!

There are lots of good 'interim' clothes there if you look you can find nice stuff. I used to even find new stuff with tags on. I'm sure we all have donated clothes that we bought to fit into and got tired of waiting to fit! It is a good way to go to keep yourself looking OK without spending too much. and in saving all that money you will have lots more to spend on yourself when you get to goal!

Thrift stores are the best bet. Check stores that are church affiliated they are usually cheaper than Good Will or Salvation Army. Also the Clearance rack at like K-Mart or Target are also good bets.

Ross is my lifeline as I went down at least one pant size every month! Save your money for when you reach goal and/or decide to have a tummy tuck. Then splurge on whatever when you settle in at a more stable size.

yard sales and the thift shops are the best bet! I have gone down from a 26W to a 20W in 9 weeks. There is no way I can afford new clothes every time I drop a size.

If you just have to buy clothes right now, what worked well for me was buying adjustable clothing. I got pants that were drawsting with stretchy material so they were comfortable. NOT TACKY, COMFORTABLE. That was my way out of buying new clothes every time I dropped a dress size. I also loved sweats. You can't go wrong with sweats. And like everyone else said, GO CHEAP.

Default Thrift

During one of the many times I have lost a lot of weight and was in transition I would buy clothes at thrift stores. There are nicer quality ones and the price is still cheaper than buying brand new. I would also recommend, if you can afford it, to treat yourself to some new clothes on the way down! You deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
