My WOW moment for the day!
Okay- first a confession.. I guess Cinerbelle has started something there.. my scale is showing a (small) gain today and I didn't change my sig. I know it will continue to go back down so I figured I'd just leave it..
*Anyway*.. because I seem to be on a bit of a stall and the scale is showing an actual gain, I decided it's time to drag out the measuring tape.. here are some numbers:
Neck: 2 inches
Biceps: 2.75 & 3 inches= 5.75
Forearm: .75 & 1 inches= 1.75
Chest: 6.75 inches (grrrr)
Waist: 7 inches
Hips :5.5 inches (grrr again, but for the opposite reason )
Thighs: 3.5 & 3.5 = 7
Calves: 1.5 & 1.75 =3.25
Grand total= 39 inches
OH MY!
Slowly but surely, I will get there! woo hoo...

Why is it that I lose SO much off from my boobage area, but nothing on the belly? I mean.. who am I kidding.. that isn't my 'hip' measurement at all, it's my sagging, hanging fatness.. GRRR.. It just doesn't seem to want to leave there.. some of my tops are loose up near my shoulders and whatnot.. but not anywhere near loose near that belly :-(
But I am focusing on the POSITIVE.. it's still inches off, right? (working to convince myself here.. )

Oh, don't misunderstand.. the stalls drive me BATTY.. I give myself a lot of pep talks, reminding myself that I didn't get fat in a day and I'm not going to become completely healthy in a day, either.
I get SO annoyed that I've "Only" lost 70 lbs so far.. but then I think WHAT.. *I* lost 70 lbs ALREADY??? I've never accomplished that much weight loss in such a short time before so why am I complaining?
And life has changed so significantly for me already, in little but noticeable ways.. not even counting the three walks I take every day, but things like being at the grocery store and the woman in front of me dropped a jar of peanut butter... I bent down quickly and handed it to her.. My daughter, who came home from college today said "Wow, Mom.. there was a time when you would have told me to get it for her but you just jumped right on it". And she noticed I parked as far away from the door of the store instead of heading to the spots up close.
And my lovely girl, a solid muscular girl in size 11 but who eats *crap* day in/day out said that maybe she would benefit from eating a bit better and so we spent some time in Whole Foods looking around- she's not a convert yet, but I have all summer to work on her :-)
So, yeah, I do wish I could be like some of the others whose weight has just whooshed off..but you & me, Deborah, we can stick together and celebrate these smaller milestones, okay?

Thanks, Beth.. that means a lot
Yeah, top down is definitely the way I'm headed.. everything seems to be pointing downwards too, LOL. I'm looking forward to being able to buy a wonderbra, once I'm willing to part with my money for some new stuff.. so far, I've managed to get by without buying anything!

Believe me, Deborah, I'm not buying *anything* until I absolutely have to. While going through some boxes I found a couple dozen bras, total.. of all various sizes.
I've also found a product that is cheap but really helps extend the length of time I can get away with wearing the bras I do have..
Secure it Strap
These work REALLY well at keeping the looser straps in place and it kind of hoists the puppies up a bit I found them at a local outlet mall (bra) store, so I didn't have to pay any shipping.
