I just got my surgery date (5-5-08) and I also just finished my externship. So I was/am looking for a job in my new career and am considering an offer. But, now that I have a surgery date, I wonder if I should accept the offer, continue looking and put the job search on hold until after the surgery. And if I do that, how long should I wait until after the surgery before I go back to work?

How long did you wait to return to work?

How time consuming is everything after the surgery that it may interfere with a new job?

depending on what your career is. if it an office type job i've heard people say they can return after 2 weeks but if your work is more physical i'd wait to see what your surgeon says
