I wish there was a way to prep your skin but if it is damaged, it's damaged. I've noticed where ever I had really bad stretch marks sag now after I've lost weight.

I'm SO early post-op, I probably have very little cred on the topic. But when my support group met once with a plastic surgeon, she said our skin was a lot like the elastic on rather worn out underwear, just not tight enough to stretch back like it was brand new....She did say, the younger you were, the better off you might be. As a guy, I guess I will be wearing a lot of spandex and compression shorts til I one day do some plastic work....but that's a couple years' down the road, so I best shut my trap and let the more experienced respond to this thread. (indeed, it's a topic you can search and find much more written and discussed in previous threads.)
