Default Regarding diet caffeine free ginger ale

Hello,
I am just curious as to if it's alright to drink a few cups a week of this? I am 100% legit with eating healthy and making correct choices.. I do not drink caffeine.. nor eat sweets, salty foods or anything that I was advised against.. but I just had the gallbladder removed and am pretty gassy and I have had two cups in the past 2 days.. maybe 6-8oz of diet caffeine free ginger ale.. is this bad? I am 3.5 months out and down 81lbs.. I really do NOT want to do anything I am not supposed to and get back into ANY bad habits.. so..help?

I don't know the answer, but I would definately shake it up to make it go flat before I drank it. I would advise that you call your doctor for sure. Sorry no definate answer.

Hi Kieley, I have read that the air from the carbonation can stretch your pouch. So, if you do need to drink it to help with the gasiness, pour it into a bowl, and let it sit for several hours until it goes flat. Or, try one of the OTC products that are made especially for gas, like Gas-Ex (the strips work great). But like Sharon said, check with your doc and see what he/she says for sure.

BTW, great job on the weight loss so far. Congrats!
