Size 6
WOW! I went to get a pair of jeans today b/c I only have one pair left that fit and walked out of that store with a size 6!!! I kept saying "Well Old Navy must be made big" "I'm still at a 10 or 8 in other clothes." "Can this be right?" In high school I was very happy with my body at 135-140 lbs and a size 8-10 (I'm not a petit little girl) so this was my goal. The scale just moved this morning for the first time in a month and a half from 150 to 148. This is 8-13 lbs away from my goal so how can I be asize 6!!!! I'm NOT complaining just confounded. I was just as athletic in hs as now so it can't be the muscle thing! It just makes me unsure. Do I LOOK like a 6? I don't want to walk around thinking I look better than I do!!!! I can't believe this. I haven't been a size 6 since..... not that I ever remember paying attention! I've been no less than 7 since jr. high!!!

Wow! That is such a great feeling, isn't it? I always thought Old Navy pants ran small, so you are probably smaller than a 6. Yippee!! Congrats on your success.

Part of it is the current trend to vanity sizing. ANother part is due to a different distrubution of fat and muscle. I have a flatter stomach and smaller arms and chest than when I was in high school weighing 115 lbs. I was a size 8 at the time too! I was a 36 B before, now, barely 34 A! Okay, I'm a B cup when you roll the boobs up into them ANyway, I currently wear a 6, which is really baggy in the legs and waist, but snug in the butt and hips d/t the skin sagging into the seat of my pants. I wear a size 4 jacket.....

Take pictures and don't obsess with the size numbers. How do you feel? How do you feel you look? That's what matters.
Congratulations on your success! You are so close to goal. Stay focused - you'll be there before you know it. And, maybe down one more size!

I wear size 4-7 at 121-131, but I can't button my favorite pants, size 9. When I weighed 108-118 in my younger days, I never felt comfortable in less than a 7. I figure the sizing is a bit different than in those days, but also the pannus has alot to do with our weight, and how we may feel odd in our smaller clothes. I have said this many times, so to some it will sound like I am a broken record. My pannus is approximately ten to fifteen pounds, give or take a pound or two. So if my pannus was cut off would I weigh 122 pounds today as I did on the scale? I would be under 110 pounds for sure. For my age and height, that is underweight I think. I dunno. I haven't checked lately. I just know that if I didn't have this pannus I would be underweight. My legs are barely bigger than a grapefruit as it is. Isn't it a great feeling to be able to slide into one pant leg, your whole body? I just got a kick out doing that. I pulled them all the way up over my boobs, by the way, my rolled into my bra boobs. I think that is the hardest part of the weightloss, was the loss of my beautiful breasts. I do miss those, and I am sure my husband does too.
Can't have life and boobs, so here I am, Hugs,
Traci

How encouraging to read these things. I am waiting now for final test results from my sleep study and getting anxious to be approved. Played Bunko with my church group last night and we talked a lot about boobs and plastic surgery. What a great spot to be in; tremendous weight loss, looking and feeling great. Congratulations, keep up the good work. I gotta get there. Thank you for sharing.

Sizes
I wear a size 4 now and I weigh 145 lbs. Your body structure can determine what size you will wear. It's weird.

You're so funny! Like you're not teeny enough to be a size 4--c'mon!!!
I still don't think of myself as skinny. I know, I know, it's stupid. I just keep taking those pictures and hopefully, someday, it will become reality to me.
