I don't think they are. I think that's pretty rediculous. If it was true.. most of us on the form would have needed emergency surgery as many of us were on our CPAP machines!

Thank you so much for the post Bridget. I am definitely going to copy this to my comp and print it out for my family to read since they all feel I am taking the easy way out... It frustrates me so much that they don't understand. My 16 yr old told me that he is going to feel funny loving me as a skinny person.. He said that I have always been over weight and that is mom to him... I have explained to him time and again that I will still be the same person, but just lighter.. My mom especially resents me for choosing surgery. All hell will break loose when I get under her weight.. She is slightly obese too.. Sorry, I had to vent a little...but I feel better now...

there will be a time when your family wont ever remember you fat either. My kids dont, they are 10 and 13 now. When my friends nd family come across old photos they are puzzled at first about who is the picture before releazing its fat me!

#9, never heard of it before. I guess I would just take away from it that it can hurt, nothing easy about that huh?
