I'm back at work this week after being out for eight weeks and time just flies like crazy. I kept forgetting to drink fluids and even missed a couple of meals.
Yesterday, I found a solution! Our company uses Outlook so, I set up 'task' reminders: the first for fluid.. it's set to remind me starting at 9am "Drink now" and I drink and then hit the 'snooze' for 15 minutes and all day long it is reminding me to drink up! I also remember sometimes to drink in between, but this is to keep me from getting too engrossed in what I'm doing for too long of a time. The second 'task' reminder is to take breaks to get away from my desk at reg. intervals and move my body and the last 'task' is to remind me to EAT! Something I never thought possible, I often would forget. I also (re)-started using Fitday (paid version) to log the food I plan to eat and log the food I do actually eat-not always the same, LOL. Anyway, I did a quick search to see if others had posted the tip about Outlook task reminders to help keep on track an didn't see anything. I'd love to hear of other ideas if anyone has tips to keep me on track.. the tried and true would be great!

This is a great idea! I'm back at work, and often forget to drink every 15 mins. This will be a great tool to keep me on track! Thanks so much for posting it!

Hej Girls!
At 3 1/2 months out I still use the digital kitchen timer (clipped on to my waistband/trousers, notepad, or round my neck). It's a simple and easy model. I input 30, press start and when it beeps I can either eat or drink! If I know I am going to have lunch/dinner, I set it at my last sip and get on with my previous task (laundry, working, dog walking, watching tv, whatever) and when it beeps, guess who dashes for a meal! Me! After my last mouthful, I set the timer for 30 minutes before I can take my next sip of liquid. This way I never need to "think" about my intakes! Good post! Cheers, Vim

And don't do what I did, which was not get enough food & fluid in me.. my body was very unhappy, I felt like garbage.. I was tired, cranky, lethargic and I didn't lose weight for weeks.. not a good idea. I know it's hard, but it's really, really important.
