Really Trina?

I heard lettuce was one of the most difficult thing to digest.?. I sampled a bit while traveling and it just did not feel o.k. but looking back it could have been the travel aspect.

I'm going to try one for dinner. I've been craving one for WEEKS. mmmm chef salad.

It's good to be green today

My "Last Supper" was a huge disappointment... it was a very snowy night, so my friend and I stayed in town. We went to a newish restaurant that had great reviews... Service was horrible, the baked potato tasted like it had been baked the day before, steak was tough and stringy... salad was "luke warm." A HUGE disappointment...

Should have opted for a big plate of Nachos!

You'll be surprised at how much you do NOT miss food after the surgery... at least at first!

My last day of regular food was a bit of a disapointment too. My husband and I had odd schedules which left us pretty tired so instead of going to Denny's for a last good breakfast like we had planned, we wound up hitting the grocery store. It was like junk food fiesta. I got soda, chips, cupcakes, ice cream, and then some other more regular dinner food. I couldn't even eat all of it. I was stuffed since I wasn't used to eating that food for a bit. The week before we managed to hit up a really good steak house that we like to go to. Other plans had been to go to another German restaurant we like but that didn't pan out because of time constraints. I feel like I worked in a lot of my favorites though throughout the week at different times such as pizza and ice cream. I think there's only so much you can consume anyways, lol. Good luck with your last day!

I had my last meal like everytime I ate for probably the whole month before my surgery. I only had to do a two day liquid diet. Gosh I thought I was starving the second day. Honestly like others have said I have not really missed any of the sweet stuff. Ice cream was my favorite indulgence of choice. Now I have no desire to eat it. The first month I struggled with some head hunger but after that it has been pretty easy. Good luck to you. Keep us posted.

Yeah i had a whole pint of creme brulee ben and jerrys yesterday. Then we went out to a BBQ house for dinner. stopped and got a Dr pepper on the way home. And that was my last dinner. My husband says he wants to do the liquid diet with me this week to see what im going through. haha but i know better. Like every man they are impossible to deal with when they are hungry. extremely irritable. So i told him he better keep eating
hes being incredibly supportive on this though. He's joined the forum too. He's TomRex.
Couldnt ask for a better husband. I love him

Now that's the way to go out in style! Three things I used to love. Saw your husbands post and responded. Good to see he's supporting you, it will mean so much to your success.

I like others had Texas Roadhouse for my last supper...steak, lots of rolls, and a big plate of cheese fries. Now that I am post op I really wish I had remembered how much I love salad and breakfast food. I wish I had had some good pancakes and biscuits and gravy. I am still on post op clear liquid diet until tomorrow, and I feel like it is going to be the death of me, I miss texture! Good luck to you, it helps to have a built in, at home support system.
