Hello everyone,
Well i took my vacation last week, i so needed it after all my stress with the surgery and insurance stuff going on.
I am still waiting to see if i get approved. Susie told me it may not be as hard as she thought. Well of course she tells me this after i took vacation. So now if i do get approved i have to wait 5 or 6 months before i can take another vacation.
So in the mean time i went to MRC, and started on their program. Yes it is expensive, but as people keep telling me "what price is health" So i started on Saturday. This place it perfect because if i get denied for insurance, bucuz i have not met all the requirements, by going to MRC they have them all there Supervised diet, counseling, and nutritionist.
So i am killing 3 birds with one very expensive stone lol!
I am hoping to just lose the weight with their program, they guaranteed me to lose 100 lbs by 11-28-05. We shall see. I am really going to give it my all.
I had a aquaintance have surgery on 03/22/05, i called here when she was like 3 days out, she was still in the hospital with complications. I still have not heard from her. I dont have any clue what is going on. I told her to email me when she got home. I hope she made it home. I dont wanna be a buggaboo, and call her again, just in case she is not feeling well. I am not sure do you think i should call her again? I am kinda worried.
Oh i think i have heel spurrs in my right foot too. I started walking about 2 weeks ago, i had some pain come the second day, and it still has not gone away, so i go to a podiatrist on Thurs. I hope i dont have to have surgery. I think it is called Planter Fachia or something like it. That would really suck.
So in a nut shell that is what is going on with me.
I hope all is well with everyone here! Sorry i have been MIA.

Good luck on your program and getting surgery approved!!! I have heel spurs on both feet.. but don't feel them anymore. They only do the surgery in EXTREME cases so don't worry, it should be fine. Actually it is usually caused by obesity, so you have one more thing to add to your list of co-morbidities.

Unhappy Heel Spur OUCH!!

I had one too. I got cortisone shots for about a year and now it is gone. Last shot was about 4 yrs ago. Believe me, even though the shot hurts, the relief is more than worth it.

Yes Pokey, good luck, I think it is a marvelous idea. I was very happy losing my weight naturally. I took 8 months and lost 80 pounds before my wedding to John. I got pregnant on my wedding day, and became ill right away, so I puffed it all back on and 80 more. I wish I had known about a place like this to come to. I know this sounds like a wls support group, and it is, but we actually are just a weight loss support group. I may have been able to lose weight AGAIN, if I had had this place back then. It was too late for me by the time I found this place, I was near death already. Good luck to you, keep us updated. Lei is also working on her weight without surgery at this time, maybe you two can compare notes and such on your individual programs.

Hugs,

Traci

Good to hear from you! Good luck on the weight loss program and with your foot problems. I don't think it would hurt to give your acquaintnance a jingle. You never know she may just need some one to talk to and make her day!
