Don't you just hate a clogged nose! It takes the fun outta life.

After 5 months with cold like symptom I finally seen my doctor. He perscribed Astelin (azelastine HCI). It worked better than anything else I've ever tried.

I am sooooo there with ya on this! I have had lifelong allergy and sinus problems. It's a constant battle for me year-round. I just started allergy shots about four months ago--I'm hoping it will make a big difference in my life. I took Actifed as a child, but only when I had a serious allergic reaction. After Seldane came on the market, I took it for eight years--then it was taken off the market! I switched to Allegra-D for six years. Now I just started Zyrtec-D because my allergist said it's stronger than Allegra. I'm keepin' my fingers and toes crossed. Good luck with your suffering...I sympathize with ya!

I usually take Rinoquort BUT my fabulous insurance doesn't cover it. SOOOO instead of paying the $5.00 copay it is a $80.00 co pay, I can't afford that!
and it makes me mad cause Rinoquort really helped me out.

SueZQ,

My insurance company told me that if my doctor writes 'despense as prescribed' or 'do not substitute' they will only charge me my regular co-pay for meds. Have you asked your insurance co if they will do that? I have Blue Cross HMO.

SueZQ,

That's why I asked. Not many people know what their rights are with insurance companies. And quit beating up my friend -- you are as bright as you are supposed to be.

My wife and I used to take Claratin for our allergies. With perscriptions, we spent like 3 bucks a month. Now that Claratin is OTC, we have to spend like 40.

Our doctors won't perscribe anything new, because Claratin works, lol.

And I am convinced that God has a sense of humor. Why else would he make such a beautiful world, and make us allergic to 98% of it?
