Smile Going to See Dr. Potts Tomorrow

Hi, my name is Marcia. I have been reading the posts for about 3-4 weeks now. I finally decided to say Hi!

I am going for my consult with Dr Potts tomorrow at 3:30. I think I've waited so long to post cause I'm not sure I'm 'worthy'. I hope I don't have much more to do in the way of pre-op prep, I will probably need to see phyc. I have many of my current tests from my PCP and have ordered my records from the TWO times I went through Positive Choice with Kaiser.

Everything I read here has helped me alot in my decision to do this, both good and bad. I remember how I felt when I lost 80 lbs with Kaiser, but have gained it all back +25 more. I can't wait to get my life back.

I guess I'll probably write again tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

I hope to be able to attend one of your functions and meet some of you. I think the relationship you guys have is a major factor in your success.

Marcia

Hi, Marcia,

Glad you decided to post. It took me awile too. That is the exact reason I wanted surgery, "to get my life back." I'm now 6 days post-op, and knock on wood, doing great. Good luck and let us know how the consult goes.

Forgot, need to change my signature, weight down to 244 today.

Anne,
Welcome to our family of losers. You might want to check out the East County Support group meeting on April 13th. This is open to pre-op, post-op, thinkers and their family. Hopfully you can make it. You are entirely correct about the relationships with others in our situation, it is an incredible support system and I wouldn't have made it this far and done this well without my "family" here.
