Default My last fat Christmas!!!!!

I know that the title sounds a little vain but I am so looking forward to my surgery in March. I know it sounds far away but it is so close and I am getting more and more excited.

I started off the holidays with a sleep study for sleep apnea. I don't know but I find the whole thing just upsetting and humiliating. I guess because I associate it so much with my weight. Just one more thing to hate this body about.

I am slowly working towards loving myself and who I am but I want who I am to be a little skinnier and a lot more healthy. I want to be the mom who is actively involved with her kids. I am tired of sitting on the sidelines afraid to participate because of what others might think.

So my slogan lately has been "my last fat......" and then filling in the blanks. I want to be that person who is trapped under these layers of fat.

It is going to be a wonderful new year!!!!!!!!!

Even on the negative note it has been a wonderful Christmas. We have spent time with family and that is always a highlight for me. I enjoy watching all five of my children enjoy the fun and excitement of the holidays. They range in ages from 14 to 3 years but each age brings their own excitement to the festivities.

I hope all have enjoyed the holidays and been able to find peace and love in their lives at this time.

Merry Christmas!!!!!!

This is also my last fat Christmas. I don't think I'll miss it too much, and I think it will totally be worth it all! Merry Christmas everyone.

Tawna, you are not alone, I think we all did that, infact I still do it! Its nice to have dropped 2/3 of what I need to but I won't be satisfied till I am classed as "normal" bmi.

Tawna, your surgery is on my birthday!!!! I hope that's good luck for you!!!!!!

Just to let you know, I have had no problem with food on the holidays, and I ate a lot of different things - just a bite of this or that and I was satisfied. I know that's hard to believe, but it's actually what happens. And I am a sweetaholic from infancy!!! I enjoyed all of the food of the holidays, but didn't eat anything I regretted. As a matter of fact, I went on a 7 day cruise earliy this month, and lost two lbs! It was all the activity, and small portions of food.

So life just gets better and better as you travel this journey, even with all of its bumps.

I wish you and all pre-ops the best of luck - you are in for a wild ride!!!

My last "Fat Christmas" too... I hope!!!

Know what? I didn't feel so hot xmas day after all the grazing and poor eating! So remind me of that next year if I start whining about what I missed on Christmas Day! I literally was sick to my stomach last night... GASX strips work pre-op too : ) (Oh, won't the manufacturers love that endorsement... hahaa!)...

My grandchild due in July will never know me as the "fat grandma!" YAY!!!

Cute thread, Tawna...

You have it right this was my first not fat Christmas, and it's easier then you know, you will get, my doesn't he have great control not to eat the sweets or extra butter on his buns, they don't know that your new tool takes care of all the cravings. You might even be lucky like me and someone brings pic. from last year and says my God you look great.
