Default End of the road for now....to be continued

I have been so busy trying to get all my paperwork together for sugery, and with work. Which was total waste of time because I have to have all the things done with in the same 6 months. That, I don’t have. So for now this is the end of the road for me. I will need to start from scratch. I am really going to try to lose the weight on my own in the process. Losing weight is something I have NEVER been able to do. Most people have lost and gained it again, but me noooooo I have never been able to lose it at all. So I will document everything, and keep up with my doc appt. But I cant afford to go to the Doc, got to a nutritionist, and go to see a therapist all at the same time, that would be $90 a week. They are high! So i am doing what i can for now, just incase the insurace changes down the road. So by Saturday afternoon I am going to make up my mind on what Eating plan I am going to change my lifestyle to, and stick to it. I started walking yesterday. I actually enjoyed it. My back hurt a little while walking, but I did it for 20 minutes. I figure it is a start. I know it did give me a ton of energy, and i did feel less stressed out. My heel on my right foot hurts this morning, but I am going to keep walking anyway. I am going to this place after work call the Metabolic Research Center, just to see what they do. I know they will want money, but I figure I’ll give it a listen at least. I have heard they teach you how to eat, and what to eat. Which is something I need right now, as I have no clue anymore. If I don’t go to them I am thinking of the South Beach eating plan. So we will see. I hope that i can still pop in to chat with you guys every now and then. I feel like i have met some WONDERFUL people here, and dont want to stop communication, however i know this is a sight for people who are in the proccess of getting or have had the surgery.
Hopefully i will see you in 6 months, and be ready to get the WLS.
YOU ALL ARE AWESOME!!!

If you manage to walk from Colorado to Ohio, look me up
But, why leave the board? You are still working towards WLS from what I see. We are a virtual support group, allow us to support you...virtually

Hi doll.... I think you should stay here too.... We'd miss you! I do have a suggestion for an eating plan.... it actually worked for me... partially. The Michael Thurmond Body Make Over.... It costs around 200 dollars... and it's the only "diet" I was ever on, where I was never hungry, I still craved foods, sweets and carbs etc... but I was never hungry.... I had more energy and just felt better. I can tell you why I gave it up later if you'd like. WLS is not the answer for everyone either. You do what's best for you doll!!!

If you read all the literature, and watch all the Discovery Health shows, and all the newsdocs about weight loss, the next most successfull long term solution seems to be Weight Watchers. WLS surgery is the only almost full proof solution for chronically obese people. But for those who do it the dieting way, Weight Watchers has the best long term statistics. Do you have a Weight Watchers in your area? Give them a try.

I hope you can eventually get all your WLS stuff together. Take it from me, who has done every diet that came down the pike since the 60's (YES!! I am that old!) WLS is the real long term answer. Good luck to you! Keep us informed of what you are doing.

Thanks Meaghan,

Good to hear from you. We talked about carpooling to a meeting sometime didnt we? We should still do that.

I feel so much better, healthier, lighter, in control. Everything doesnt hurt anymore. I can get up in the morning without being tired, and miserable. What a difference. I am a very happy camper!
