Finally Home
I know a lot of you have asked the surgery did not go as planned and while I went in on the 4th I am just now home. Yes I spent my birthday in there but at least I am home for Christmas. They found a 17lb endo tumor to remove and ended up having to go back in for removal of some small and some large intestine as well. The third surgery came shortly after with a bowel obstruction which had to be cut and then of all things the so strong healthy heart well it gave out as well so it has been a long week.
I am home it has been a total of 16 days since surgery I am still on liquids although full liquis. Problem is I can not get even water to tast good. jelo tasts like meds, soup tasts like crud, and well there are not many other options. Anyone have any idea on the egg beaters or refried beans I can not wait for those. Boy give me something with flavor. I was also suposed to be working in two weeks but with not having had gotten out that fast I am still off and looks like i will be till almost feb.

WOW! I am sorry you had such a terrible time. But thank goodness you're home now. Take it easy OK!
On your question about everything tasting like crud - yep and yep to that one.
To this day I have a problem drinking straight up water. Pre-surgery is was my drink of choice. I now do Crystal Light, H20 water, Propel .... anything other than plain water. Have you tried any of those?

Yikes! At least you know you'll have a weightloss of OVER 17 pounds! All joking aside...I'm glad you've made it home and can re-coup in your own home. Was there no inkling of a tumor? Do/did you have endometriosis, PCOS? Yep, I'm nosey...answer only those questions you want too! LOL
Keep us posted on your recovery process...we're here for you.
