It's worth it!
Well I am glad to hear that the dryness may be related to the RNY. My hair has been ssssoooooo dry and straw-like. It is getting a little better, but still not my normal.

Dry was probably a better and more classy way to say it. But can't help it. My hair looked like pubic hair for a long time. It's finally back to normal after 2 years. Sue

Take ZINC!
Use a good conditioner, let your hair dry naturally, stimulate your scalp (bend over and brush your hair upside down. Do not highlight or colour treat your hair. Avoid strong sun, swimming pool chlorine, sea salt, wind). You might more easily predict the condition you hair is about to be in by looking at the state of your nails. Massage your nails with good oil and likewise treat your hair to an intensive conditioning for 25 minutes every two weeks. Avoid hair dryers etc.
Good luck!
Vim
