Default Wow moments while moving houses

Hi everyone,

This past weekend I moved into my new house and wow, what a difference losing so much weight makes! I last moved in May, so it was only 7 months ago, and the whole time I was miserable and tired with aching feet and extremely sweaty. This time I made it though two entire days of intensely physical work and only my arm strength eventually wore out. I hardly sweated at all!!! In fact, I was wearing three layers and still cold, LOL!

My other BIG WOW moment is that as of this morning, 11 weeks out, I am offically down 90 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At the beginning of the weekend I was stuck for a week at 253, but as of this morning I am 248. WOW! Hitting that 90 pound mark has just really, really lifted my spirits. It marks the beginning of the countdown to Century Club and it marks the beginning of being closer to 200 than to 300. I've been floating on a cloud of happy all day.

A smaller wow that came during my move was that I cleared out my storage unit and now have boxes and boxes of clothes to go through. Most of these clothes are from my law school days before (and during) getting so fat. Today I am wearing a top that I haven't seen in a year and that I've never really fit into before and can definitely say that I won't be able to wear it for long -- it's almost too big! I've received a half dozen compliments, too Going through these boxes is like winning a store full of clothes -- so many things to try on!! Yay!

I hope everyone else is having a great week and staying strong! ::hugs::

Way to go Nyn!!!!

It sure is more fun doing those day to day tasks without carrying all that extra weight around, isn't it. Moving is a lot of work, so it's no wonder that you worked off a little more weight during the move.

I really liked how excited you sounded in your post! It was kind of contagious!

Congratulations again!!!

Hey Nyn! Awesome post!

I expect I'll have to get us moved to a "gimp" friendly house or condo in the next year or two... I'm hoping the surgery will afford me the extra energy and stamina needed to de-clutter, pack up and move... we've been in this house 31 years! We started off here with no kids and have been through it all with them.... lots of history here! Lots of JUNK too!

Congrats on the new home... and WHoooHooo on the new found wardrobe... and the amazing weight loss!!!!

Default What a inspiration!

Way to go on your 90 pound weightloss! That is a LOT of weight! Very exciting. Gives me such hope reading your post. I struggle at doing day to day tasks.

Enjoy your weightloss and best of luck to being an even BIGGER loser

Nyn,
I remember being at your stage of recuperation, and it was really fun to discover the clothes you thought you'd never see again have to go away because you have de-grown them! Weigh to go, Sister! (JMO, ask for gift cards for the holidays, no one, including you, will know what size to get for you!)

Grats on such a joyous time!
