Question My I crazy, waking up at 6:15 am .......

Hi Everyone,

My I crazy, waking up at 6:15 am to eat breakfast and then most likey go back to bed for a hour or two.

I don't feel hungry but eating sound GOOD.

Also I am thinking about going to the gym to workout or have a swim. My I crazy.

I am feel the best I have for a long time, like years. Lots of energy and feel super!!! Is this normal for 5 months out???? Oh, I need to add breathing great , no knee pain, studing very well to classes (hoping to earn a B or A in A&P II) and super crazy horny.

So does this mean I am getting to be normal and getting a active life back??????

Seam to early in the morning for deep thinking.........

Regards,

Cat_Lover

*LOL*...well all I can say is that it was right around 6 months post-op that I actually started feeling normal. Enjoy the feeling, Mary.

Oh please talk to me. I am going crazy, 4 weeks after surgery. While losing weight and I get excited about that, for a short time, then Im back to not really caring about anything. My poor husband just doesnt understand, he feels out in the left pasture, but I dont feel like cuddyling. I love my husband and kids but right now I am scared to do much of anything in fear of an anxiety attack. Nothing seems to matter, nothing interests me...I hate the feeling. I long to go to bed, yet I seldom can sleep, so I am up and down all night. I am afraid of taking sleeping pills as I dont want to get dependent on them.

Please tell me your feelings before the 6 month mark. At 7 months did you like/love the same things, same interests etc....or is it like our taste buds all different? I hated chicken before the surgery, now I love it.

Please tell me if I am going crazy..I sure feel like it

Crazy !@#$%^&*, NO. I think your body and hormones(sp) are most likely out of balance. Stop amd remember you just have major surgery, your body is still healing. I was not "into" sex for about a month and half out. As for your hubby, talk to him and tell him your hopes and fears. Commucation is so important in a health relationship and more so went you add WLS and all the mental and "body" changes.

As for sleeping pills - talk to your doctor.

As for taste buds. Mine are still different 8 months out. Simply put. I eat to live, not love to eat. I see food as fuel, not good or bad, just fuel for my body, so I try to make the healthest choice in food. I do love eating beef (steak) more on the med/rare side, as before WLS I would eat my steak med/well. I also want though times of liking eggs and cheese, then not wanting them. Tuna was a staple for me.

Just remember to talk to your hubby, friends and family about your feeling. Feel free to PM.

Your not CRAZY,

Oh Dawn, my dear, no you aren't going crazy. I know for myself there was nothing that could prepare me for the emotional side of all of this. I couldn't sleep either. I would sleep like 5 hours and then I was up. I felt all wound up inside. When it came to eating I was the same way. My DH would ask me what I would like to eat and most of the time I had no idea! So little tasted good, what used to taste good didn't any more. I would sit down to eat, take a couple of bites and push my plate away. My pouch would hurt and it seemed to take SO MUCH work and effort to eat. I hated it and more than once i was so tempted to just take my plate of food and throw it across the room. It took awhile but gradually things leveled out. Eating became easier and it didn't seem so much like a chore. I actually could sit down and enjoy a meal. Yes, my tastes have changed but for the better. I'm enjoying foods with high flavor, spices and the fried stuff just makes me sick to even think about it.

So be patient. Take a deep breath. Realize that things will get better and just try to celebrate all of the little wows that are coming into your life. They are there. I promise...just look.
