Default Hunger

OK, yesterday I was STARVING! Ate like a pony...you know...like a miniature horse, with my miniature tummy. I wanted food like every two hours. Wasn't head hunger either. It was honest to goodness tummy rumbling hunger. I really thought my honeymoon was over...that my hunger was back and that the weight loss was through.

Well, not only did I lose two pounds overnight, but today, I'm not at all interested in food. It might as well be pony manure. What's up with that? Is this normal RNY stuff? I know I'm fulla questions lately, but, inquiring minds want to know.

Goal! I did it!
111 pounds gone since my RNY
125 total pounds gone forever!
Maintaining within a few pounds up and down. 130 is my goal and I've been hovering a pound or two over it for months now.
BMI 22.3

I am not a tame lion......

I still get the same feelings, one day, hungry all day the next no interest in food at all, in fact it sort of repulses me.

I do that about once a week... I have one day where I'm ready for my meals... Like I'm huuuuuuu uuuu uuuuuu ngry!

Then the rest of the days of the week I'm just sorta eating because it's time to. If I don't eat at regular times I get real shake and feel bad.

It's normal for me... don't know about everyone else though...

Default Eating - Not eating

I have the same 'problem'. One day I think I broke something because I just not get enough to eat. I still try to stick to good things, like protien, but it just seems I never get enough. Then for the next few days, sometimes a week, I have to remind myself to eat. The only thing I can come up with is, I have noticed a 'trend'. I am rather weird, but it's almost like a mild case of OCD with me. I have to have my 4 oz of Orange Juice in the morning. I must have Orange drink in the afternoon. I must have cheese with breakfast, but can't have it with lunch. I must have a veggie with lunch, but not with dinner. My dinner must be a protien and a starch (usually sweet potato or peas or corn). I can't explain it, but at some point during the day I must have a cup of chicken broth. If I keep to my 'schedule' my pouch (Fred) stays happy, so I have no pain, and I don't get hungry.

Yes, I know, I'm weird

Thumbs up thanks for making me feel normal.

You know in the beginning i didnt feel hungry or full. But at almost four weeks out i have those days where i am starved and then also totally rupulsed by food. I do try to have protien first no matter what. Does anyone have that carb addiction? Sometimes i am hungry feeling but i know all i want is a nice donut or slice of homemade bread.

I have a day every once in a while where I"m starving and just eat and eat. I do find that on the days when I forget or am just too busy to eat and then start craving sugary or starchy things it's because my blood sugar is bottoming out. I can honestly say I never knew what it was until I had surgery and now am way more aware of my body. Now I go home and eat something good and high in protein and I feel much better and the evil DQ craving goes away.

Thumbs up I am with Tim~

When I do have a good eating day....I eat about six very small meals.
I also have days where all I can do is liquids and also days that I forget to eat...no hunger triggers.Very odd.

Deb I think you just might be normal after all...

Ditto, what Amy said.... I get so excited that I can actually eat something one and then the next.......NO WAY will I get anything down. It is all a toss of the dice. I very rarely have a hunger pain though. I just know I have to have the nutrition. There have been probably 5 days my whole year and some odd months out that I have been "really" hungry feeling, but I also don't get a full feeling either, so I just know what to put in my pouch and be done.

I have hungry days and not so hungry days and then starving days. Make good choices and things will level out.
