I can only speak for myself. Before surgery I was EXTREMELY regular. I use a non hormonal IUD for bc. After surgery I went about 2 months without a period (which freaked me the hell out) and since then my cycles have become shorter and somewhat unpredictable My nice 30ish day cycle has now been cut down to 21-23 days and worse cramps then before and acne like I havn't seen since I was 14. I am thinking that the increase for me is because of the rapid weight loss and all of the hormones being released so quickly is the reason for the wonky cycles. I would LOVE to only have one cycle a year and I hope that you get to keep them.

Hey Andrea...you sound just like me pre-op. (besides the name...lol) I got like one or two a year and they would last 10-15 days and 2-4 days were so painful and HEAVY!!! Unfortunatly or fortunately however you look at it....the very month after surgery I ahd a period. It was still heavy and lasted only about 7days and was not as painful.....the next month and every month since then It has been about 5 days total and a lot less painful and a lot lighter. This is only my experience. I hope this helps.
