Default A couple of recent WOW moments

Hey everyone! I'm officially seven months out from surgery and in the past couple of weeks had a several significant "wow" moments I wanted to share with y'all:

WOW #1. I work for a state agency here in Virginia and was chair of the planning committee for a statewide training conference. The conference was held two weeks ago at a local hotel and had sessions scheduled in meeting rooms on two different floors. I was amazed to find myself scooting up and down two flights of stairs with barely the need to stop and catch my breath. This is a BIG change, believe me!!

WOW #2. Last week I saw my endocrinologist for a diabetes follow-up appointment and had blood work done. For the first time in probably five years, my long-term blood glucose level on the Hemoglobin A1C test, which measures for a 2-3 month period, was NORMAL!! WOO HOOOO!

And finally...

WOW #3. Earlier this week, I actually bought clothes that fit me OFF THE RACK at T.J. MAXX!! Like, I was shopping with regular people for the first time in more than 20 years. YES!!

I hope you all are having a wonderful week. I am!!

Goal! I did it!
104 pounds gone since my RNY
118 total pounds gone forever!
I finally have a "normal" BMI
Reached my first goal of 145...and setting a new one of 135.
Reached 135 and have decided to lose another five if I can.

I'm in the 130's for the first time since puberty!

I am so excited for your wow moments, but this is where it starts to get expensive....you are going to be shopping more and more as a little weight loss is going to make a bigger impact.

You have done so well and you are an inspiration.

I did a little happy dance for you! Those are great moments!!!

I really have to work on my happy dance, though. It is loaded with enthusiasm, but I fear that if the neighbors see me, they may contact emergency services.

It was worth the risk, though!!

Congratulations!
