Default So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye

after much thought I"ve stopped in to say adieu for now.....

Many of you have greatly contributed to me when I needed support, the Atta Boy's on this board are beyond belief...

Right now I"m not in a good rame of mind to contribute in a manner that is consistant with the other support on the board. I find myself angry, frustrated and resentful of posts... that can't be good on any level for myself or the person on the recieving end of my sometimes harsh commentary. In addition I just don't have anymore "good job" or Way to go's" in me for the success some expereince. My wow moments these days consist of "hey I only vomitted twice today" or "Guess what? Only 2 pounds lost this week" ... to sad to contemplate right now.

Please don't misunderstand... I think this board is a great place and the support here is nice. Given my struggles right now with the complications and pending reversal I find myself in a decidedly anti-GBS frame of mind. It's better to step away from the key board before I "piss in someone's lemonade" as another wise poster said to me....lol

Parting thoughts....

I wish the very best to all the newbies on your journey please take the time to seriously consider all your options and research both sides of this decision. The road to your goal weight can be frought with complications beyond your imagination...respect that concept. It can also be wonderful and complication free as a few on here have experienced... I wish that for you......

To those dealing with complications insignificant or major.... you are in my prayers and I hope you find resolution. In all my research the past year I have found some excellent resources for education, support and surgeons that specialize in complications post-GBS. Not all do reversals but have extensive experience with those crazy things that our body's can do once altered!

I'm not going to disappear completely... but for now to finish my journey I need to find support that's geared towards my needs... plus really, I am a cranky b*tch at the moment and who wants to deal with that?

I've already spoken to a few of you in a PM, thank you for your insights, anyone else wants to stay in touch.... email me at ubrstrbksmom@gmail.com I will post about Janie's surgery results next thursday on the revision board.

Trina, Van, Dyann, LisaM, KarenKalli, Gina in NY, Pat, Beth, Dave in NY, carrie & Donna and many others I can't call to mind right now... thank you for your words of wisdom, experience sharing, sense of humor.

I'll be back when I'm healthy again... emotionally and phsyically....lol

Blessings to all

Paige, I sincerely hope that you find the physical healing you need so that you can lead the life you are so capable of having.

I wish you well in your journey, and look forward to seeing you back so that you can receive some well-deserved "atta-girls" yourself!

Best regards,

Paige, as I've mentioned to you before right now YOU need to be #1. I understand why reading so many of these posts makes you angry, frustrated and bitter. I know for a fact that I would be having the same feelings if I was walking in your shoes. So take this time to take care of yourself. I'll be keeping in touch with you and you know how to get a hold of me. Please know that I am still here for you to give you what ever you need. Thank you for teaching us as you have. You and Janie have brought a side to this board that is important for all of us to hear and understand and I so appreciate it.

Now go and get yourself healthy, mentally and physically.

{{{{{PAIGE}}}}}

Always in my thoughts and prayers, sweetie.

It's always sad to see someone leave, even for a while, but I understand your decision and wish you only the best.

Take Care
