Default Not Losing

Hello everyone! I just wanted to know how long these times last when we dont lose. I have been at the same weight for 3 weeks now and I am getting discouraged. I have lost 75lbs since surgery but my goal was 100 by the end of March and I am not gonna make that due to the fact that I have stopped losing. I have started walking on my 15 min breaks at work and I go to Curves every night so I dont understand. I will admit that I have had a hard time with the kids sweets laying around the house having a nibble here and there but last night I bagged it all up and sent it to work with my husband. My kids will not be happy with me!! haha So I figure that having those nibbles are killing me. So I have stopped, I think it was due to that time of the month and feeling like I was never full. Why does the man above put us through this!! Anyway I guess I wanted to know is there anything I can do to get past this little hump? I really want to lose the next 25 by the end of March that will be 6 mos out. I am greatful that I have lost the 75 but I have so much more I want to lose. I want to lose another 113 on top of this 75 and it just seems so far away. Just feeling a little down and wondered what to do.

Thanks
Sondra

I'm sure the candy wasn't helping, and it's good that you got rid of it.
Do you measure yourself at all? Kelly says if we are not loosing weight then we are loosing inches. I for one measure myself every Sunday. I started doing it when I was freaking out because I wasn't loosing weight. It really works, because every week I loose at least a half an inch. Hopefully this helps a little bit.

Default Sondra,

You're doing just fine with weight loss. Don't worry your pretty little head about that!

Our bodies need to adjust to the rapid weight loss. Everyone looses at different rates, maybe your goal of 100 pounds by six months is not the plan your body has.

Ed had some suggestions about increasing calories (good calories vs. bad calories) for 3 days and then back to 600 to 900. Ed, I hope you'll respond and correct me if I'm wrong. Check to make sure you have been getting 600 to at least 900 calories per day. Believe it or not, sometimes we need to eat more so our bodies can release the fat stores.

You did the right thing by getting rid of your temptations. Good for you!
