Default New Post

Hi everyone! I have been reading your wonderful posts for a while now, but have not been able to post myself until very recently. I had an open RNY with Dr. Callery on April 27. Your posts have been extremely helpful to me during my journey.

I am six weeks post-op today, have lost 34 pounds, and returned to work today. I feel great and look forward to communicating with all of you in the future. I am contemplating attending the east county support group very soon.

Again, your endless supply of information and support is greatly appreciated.

Dara

Smile Hi Dara!

You were the day before me! We probably saw each other at some point in the hospital, but I'm not sure. How are you feeling? I feel really good - my energy started coming back by leaps and bounds this past weekend. I started back to work last week, which did make me tired, but feel very good this week.

I hope you can come to the East County support group - I don't know about you, but I've got a growing pile of clothes to try and trade!

Best of luck to you!

Default Thanks!

Bridget and Barbara:

Thanks for your warm welcome. I will make a real effort to get to the support group this month. I've been a little dejected this past week because, after starting regular foods, my weight loss is less. However, I know from the posts I read that this is a fairly common occurrence. So, I'll just be diligent and wait to see the scale move.

Barbara:

We have met before--we were both at the same follow-up appointment with Dr. Callery. When we met as a group with Kelli that day, I told you how much I enjoyed your posts. From your weight loss, it appears you're doing great too. Hope to see you soon.
