Default My little boy started school today

Well my little boy started school today. He was so ready he has to wear uniforms and he looked so cute. When i took him to his classroom they asked all the parents to introduce their self and their child and for the first time i didn't mind standing up in front of all of those people. Even though i still feel like crap from having my gallbladder removed i smiled and enjoyed being in front of all of those strangers with my son. I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for your support to get me here.

OH it's so bittersweet, isn't it? I remember dropping him off, then coming home and crying my eyes out...lol..

The last thing I wanted was my son to go to school and get teased that his mommy was fat. I know exactly what you were feeling. My oldest starts Kindergarten on Aug 22 and I think he will be fine and I will be crying.

Mine start this Thursday and my son will be a Senior!!!!! My daughter is going into 7th and she swears she is in high school. She says there is no "junior" in front of it, so I get tired of arguing over it after a while and let her have her way! LOL

I remember when both of my kids started......I cried my eyes out each time. It was a separation syndrome I think. It was like they didn't need me as much anymore. They were becoming their own little person. It is a very emotional time. One of the things that REALLY killed me was when I watched them get on that big yellow bus for the first time! They wanted to or I wouldn't have made them. It was like I was abandoning them for some reason. I cried then too! LOL

I'm a 3rd grade teacher and we started school today too. Last year I had a second / third grade combo and I got all my 2nd graders back as 3rd graders. They hadn't seen me since the first week of June and were so full of compliments about my appearance - it made my day! I also noticed that I have SOOOOOO much more energy at the end of the day than I did 4 months and over 100lbs ago!

They grow up way to fast. Enjoy the early years. Before long he'll be driving to High school and you'll wonder where the time went.....Scott
