Question Scar

My scar is big, red and itchy. What can I use to minimize it?

Itchy is good because it means it's healing. We picked up some Mederma cream, which is supposed to fade the scar. Can't say if it is working yet.

Vitamin E oil has worked for me on past scars to help heal them.

Have you tried eucerin or hydrocortizone? As far as the scar goes it takes a long time but they do eventually turn a more normal skin color. I can see my old scars but they are no longer red. Hope you get some relief on the itching.

Itchy is definitely good..big and red, not so much. Just part of having surgery, though. I have some huge ones from past surgeries...hopefully you'll be more fortunate than me in that they'll actually start to go away. I swear the older I get, the less my scars fade away...
