*L* Yeah, that one just totally took me by surprise. It made me rethink what I have ordered in a fast food restaurant. I've ordered the grilled chicken sandwich from Arbys and Wendys before. I just only eat half the bun and order it without the mayo. I wonder if it is the mayo that brings the calorie count so high plus the bacon? I'll have to check this one out myself.

Add: OK, went and checked this one out myself. They are right but not all grilled chicken sandwiches are equal. At McDonalds the Big Mac is 540 calories and the grilled chicken club is 570! OUCH!! BUT I also checked out Wendys and the Ultimate Grilled chicken sandwich is 420 with cheese and bacon on it. I little better. Now if I were to order this I would leave off the bacon, honey mustard sauce and cheese. I would have them add onions and mustard. That would be 280 calories....makes me feel MUCH better about eating a grilled chicken sandwich! Even with cheese it is 350 calories. So I guess my choices haven't been quite as bad as I first feared.

Now at Arby's their grilled chicken, bacon and swiss is 461 calories. What I have done at Arby's is the grilled chicken with lettuce and tomato and NO mayo which is 309 cal.

I think what this does prove to me is that I need to be checking out the nutritional information BEFORE going to a restaurant so that I can make the best informed decision about what choice to make.

Thanks for looking that up, Beth! I can not do the buns to any extent at this point, so I always pull the bun off...I forgot that the club would have bacon too. Usually when I am a position where I need to order something like this, I just eat the chicken and the lettuce and tomato...no condiments, no bun. That makes me feel lots better about it.
