Default Got my appointment

Hello everyone....I am new too this board. A little about myself and where I am at in my journey. My name is Tonya and I live in Santee. I have been married almost 17 years(August 1st) I have two beautiful children. My son is 6 years old and my little girl is 5 months. I have been overweight all my married life. I have managed to stay between 271 and 290 up until I had my little girl. I ballooned to almost 310 pounds. That was awful. Now I am trying my very best too lose this. It is starting to affect my knees and joints. My dr dxed me with hbp. She started me on medication. I feel so much better. I have tried every diet (the ones I could afford) Nothing really worked long enough for me to get any benefit from them. Right now I am attending TOPS which has helped quite a bit. I am more conscious of what I put in my mouth. I am waiting to see if I get approval for my consult. I have been scheduled for the educational seminar on June 15th. Can't wait. So I am at the beginning stages right now.

Welcome to our little group of "losers". You'll find lots of support and info here.
I also recommend obesityhelp.com and spotlighthealth.com as resources for you as you begin your journey.

Default Welcome!

You'll find so much support and information here! I just had my surgery almost 2 weeks ago. Like you, I've tried every diet under the sun, and I've always regained the weight. This was the last chance for me. I'm 36 and have 2 teenagers. I'd like to live to see my future grandchildren. The surgery is risky, but so is being obese. Everyone here knows what you're going through. Feel free to ask tons of questions.

Good luck!
Tabitha
