I totally cut off the quotes part of this! These are my answers to the questions John asked:
So if you don't mind me asking these pics that are 4 months out would you say you look alot better in them than say 3-4 weeks out? I really couldn't believe it but YES - I look quite a bit thinner than 3-4 weeks out - not from side to side - but from front to back - there must have been a lot of swelling that I just didn't know about.

My doc and everyone around keeps telling me it gets better and better as time go's on but, I just don't see how thats possible. Is there really that much swelling ...how can I tell looking at myself? Hee, you can't - one thing my doc said was to sleep in your binder and totally check yourself out in the morning - you'll be without a lot of the swelling and water retention that you get all day. One thing I wish I would have done was to take pics in the am and at the end of the day and compare. Now, I keep that AM look for most of the day - but I do still swell a bit.

Also how long did you leave your binder on? Oh 5 weeks - it really helps with the swelling.

I was thinking two weeks on mine. Hon - keep it on as long as you are swelling in the afternoon.

How long did you leave your drains in? - 7 days!! whoo hooo!!

How many did you have? I just had 2 . . .

How long before you could start working out again? I worked out low impact and upper body at 4 weeks - aerobic at 6 weeks - I'm still not impact sparring - or doing backhandsprings - I get to do that at 3 months out!!

Did you drop a dress size because of the skin removal? I went from a 4 to a 2 in pants - and I could tuck in shirts - I never did that before!

How much skin in lbs did they remove from your midsection? a little over 5 pounds on my front & back . . . and when you are so short - it's a lot!!

Sorry I know I just asked like 20 questions but, its cause im going through my stuff right now and im full of questions for people who are 4-5-6 months post op. - anytime - anytime!! I love to talk!

You look amazing. The weight loss is the sweet thing, but the TT is the cherry on top that completes it. You should be so proud. Not only do you look great, you look toned and healthy. Great pics.

You look awesome (and LOOOVE the shoes!!!). This is a really excellent example to show my husband. He simply has no concept that my skin won't just shrink along with all the weight I'll lose after surgery. He says, "But skin is elastic!"

I have a lot of weight to lose considering my height (5'2") and am 52 years old. Ain't no way my skin is THAT elastic!

Thank you so much for posting. The more I read the posts on this site, the more excited I get. I've got only one more hurdle (stress test) before my paperwork is submitted to insurance. My PCP is as excited about this as I am, so I've got loads of support.

'thann (and I DO LOVE those shoes!!!)

laurie thanks so much for answering all my questions. I don't mean to be a annoying Im just really floored by your pics and im hoping mine come out just as good.

5 weeks with the binder! dayum. I wonder why my surgeon is telling me only a couple max. I will need to speak with her about that next week. I was thinking only 2 weeks since thats what im looking at for my drains. So you really noticed a chance yourself in 3-4 weeks out till now 4 months out too huh. damn.

6 months arghhh I don't know if I can stand it! I soo impatient.

Thank you for posting the pictures. I am down a little over 100 pounds right now and last night I was having a body complex while looking at all me skin. I think I must be strange... I push it, poke it, move it to the side and imagine what it will be like. Then I sit and wonder if everyone looks like I do naked... yep we all look just about the same.

I appreciate each and everyone of you that post the pictures. It really helps me on an emotional level to know I am not the only one who looks like a baby elephant when I am naked (I was a big as a baby elephant... now I just have the skin of one )

FOr 3 months - I used SharPeitummy as my password at work! I was simply too heavy for too long - I wished my skin hadn't lost so much elasticity. But I'm Sharpeinomore now!! Hey, a new password, darn I guess I just told the WORLD!!
