I have a friend who is a gynocologist (female) who says to me, "Don't fool yourself, I see very few people in my practice who look good without clothes on, regardless of their weight." And these are people who have NOT been MO and lost a ton of weight.

Someone on this forum made me laff outloud when they said they looked like a "science project gone bad!" I, too, look in the mirror with dread, but then I go put on my body shapers, my new size 16 jeans and HOP down the stairs (instead of limp) to my car as I actually ANTICIPATE being in public. That's the best feeling ever.

Do the best you can with what you have and chose to be happy...

(no, my middle name is NOT Pollyanna!)

Default Try not to compare

You see you will never look like us, we are all different. However, I did feel at certain stages that it would not be possible to get to goal and yet I over came that with an "I'm gonna do it" attitude.

Joyce Meyer once said something in one of her books that struck a cord with me. She said don't compare yourself with others...it can only make you feel inferior or superior neither of which is good. Wwe are all different and rightfully and naturally so.

You will make it to your goals. Be dedicated to the cause and it will happen. I did work out 4 x /week. Did tons of cardio and mild weight training. I think that helped me be a consistent loser and will be a help in KEEPING it off. It doesn't end at goal.

I didn't feel I looked good until I had plastics. I had a panniculectomy and breast lift. That is when I stoped feeling like a recovering GBP patient. Even now, I look at my 90 year old thighs and say....oh well.

I have fat days and I have thin days. It is a continual head game for the rest of my life.

We would love to see your face. I came back to this post as I was thinking of it today and just wanted to say thank you for including me in your list of those who "looked good". Made my day!

Christy I believe that alot of patients feel the same way you do as did I and believe it or not even after 2 years I some days still feel like this, but I know I have changed and I just have to keep reminding myself of this every once and awhile.60 pounds is alot of weight and I'm sure that you look amazing just like all of the ladies and gentleman I have seen pictures of so far.Me personally I haven't hit the gym but I walk alot and ride my bike a little and that seems to help the way I look physically and feel emotionally.Keep up the great work of losing you weight, again your doing awesome!!!
