Default Have shrimp, now what?

I know next to nothing about shrimp, except that I love it fried! Since that is out of the question, what do I do with a bag of cooked cocktail shrimp that I bought. Don't want to eat it just plain and cold. I can't have salad yet. Any ideas?

add shrimp and cook appropriately...usually til they change colors
add a little bit of butter
a little lemon juice

chopped tomatoes and green onions
top with parmesan cheese and enjoy...

i also add seasonings like someimtes some grill seasoning or just salt and pepper...do a search on a receipe site for shrimp that will also help...you can even look on here...jamie

This is one of my favorite shrimp recipes:

Shrimp kabobs with feta-dill sauce

Ingredients:

½ c plain low-fat yogurt
1 scallion, white and light green parts only, thinly sliced
4 lg garlic cloves, very finely chopped
2 ½ T finely chopped fresh dill
½ c (2 oz) crumbled feta cheese
salt and pepper
¼ c extra virgin olive oil
2 lbs lg shrimp cooked and deveined
2 lemons, halved length wise and cut into 12 wedges

Directions:

1. In a medium bowl, mix yogurt, scallion, ¼ of garlic, ½ T dill. Stir in feta cheese. Slightly mash cheese. Season with salt and pepper as desired.
2. In a large bowl combine remaining garlic, 2 T dill and olive oil. Add shrimp and lemon wedges. Season with salt and pepper as desired. Toss to coat. Allow to marinate for 30 min.
3. Soak 12 wood skewers for 30 min in water. Thread 4 shrimp and 2 lemon wedges on to skewers. Season with salt and pepper as desired.
4. Grill shrimp over medium heat until shrimp is charred in spots and cooked thru. About 5 min. Squeeze lemon over shrimp and serve with feta-dill sauce.

Default Easy Steamed veggies and chilli shrimp

Just steam some veggies in the microwave stir in some sweet chilli sauce and add the shrimp and microwave for another few seconds (not too much because the shrimp will get tough. Only need enough for them to warm up. The hot veggies will mostly heat them anyway)

You can do this as a stirfry too if you want.

Good luck
Laurie

I went through a shrimp phase - I ate them for at least two of my three meals (because I knew they were good and good for me). I ate them with cocktail sauce so that they went down easy. Worked fine, never had any difficulty.
