Home again, and again, and again...
Hi everyone!
I am back home! I am very weak and fustrated. After a week of just laying there my dr came in this morning to say he still has no idea why my pancrease level is uo, so he wants me to stay another 3 or 4 days on npo, before they do more lab work. I said no, and signed out AMA. ( I had called my surgeon yesterday, and he said they should have tried me on solid foods by now, but my local dr wont do it)
I decided to return home and very slowley eat a lil soft food such as jello, poached egg, and some of the wonderful protien products that were sent to me by some very wonderful people!
I dont know if this issue is resolved yet, but if I start feeling sick again, I will not hesitate, and will go directly back to NYC and place myself under my surgeons care.
Thank you all for being so concerned about me, and for all the support. I know I will get through this.Soon I hope.
Thanks to all who sent stuff to me, I will PM you as soon as I can!

Keith glad to see you posting. We've all been very worried about you. Take things really easy. You need to make sure you are taking care of yourself. I'm glad to hear that you now have some protein products. It's very important to get that protein in you so that you can heal. Please make sure you contact your surgeon if your pain comes back.

I called the hospital around 6:30 and found you had gone.
I'm a little worried about the AMA thing but your plan sounds sensible.
I'm glad you're back here and posting though. Welcome home!

Im concerned myself!
But this local quack had no idea what he was doing, or so I think.
If you don't have faith in your doc, how can you let him treat you?

Keith, I'm so glad you are home! You sounded like you were pretty done with the whole hospital stay/no food/weird Dr thing! It's nuts! Well, hopefully you will continue to improve and all will be well soon! If you need anything, please let me know. Take care.

So glad you are recuping at home. I am surprised thay kept you so long since they usually discharge just as soon as possible so you don;t run the risk of getting infections there. Just glad you are back and posint, and I hope all the new protein works well for you!
