Isopure vs. New Whey
Has anyone tried both? I have been doing New Whey mixed with crystal light and I am ok with it. Does Isopure taste any better?

For the most part, I've used New Whey 42g vials - I only used Isopure a couple of times when The Vitamin Shoppe was out of New Whey. To be honest, IMO both New Whey and Isopure taste vile, but I find the New Whey drinks to be easier to get down because it's only three ounces, as opposed to 20 ounces in an Isopure bottle. I used to mix my New Whey with water, ice and a couple of Equal packets to make a drink, but I realized that I wasn't drinking it all during the day and some of it was going to waste. Those damn things are too expensive to waste, so now I take a chug off the vial several times a day and chase it with a sip of water so I know I'm getting all the protein (and value!) from the drink. My other concern about mixing New Whey with water is that I read a post here on TTF in which someone said that there may be some evidence to indicate that if you mix it with water and don't drink it right away, the protein isolates lose their effectiveness. I don't know if that's true, but I figured better safe than sorry, so now I chug.

I've used both the premixed Isopure and the 25g New Whey vials. I loved them both. I still use the Isopure when I need a little extra protein at the end of the day. My only suggestion is to get both very cold before trying to drink them. If you have a snow cone maker they'd both be good as syrups.

I've had both... I couldn't get more than a couple drinks of the Isopure down before I felt like I was going to gag. I rely on the New Whey 42g vials, and I think they taste pretty good. Personal favorite is Fruit Punch.

BOB (Baron of Bariatrics) -
Just wondering what's in it that made you dump? Guess I'm remembering the dietician telling us that it was carb and sugar free? I've decided to buy some sort of hi-protein drink to take to work and was looking into the Isopure. Would appreciate your comments as I have only dumped a few times and would avoid another experience like that at all costs!

I dump from it, too! I mean the sweats, racing heart, and nausea. Go figure. I think it is because it is an isolate. It tends to hit our system a little faster than some of the other blended proteins. Who knows? For a lot of people, it is the only thing they can drink.

There are two kinds of isopure, one's high protein, no sugar, one's high energy!...I didn't realize until I looked really close at the bottle.

They both make me gag. Can't handle it. I get my main protein of the day from Carnation Instant Breakfast with Fat Free Milk and one scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder (which in itself has 31 grams of protein). I eat string cheese, chicken, nuts and other food during the day to add protein each day.
I don't dispute that the Isopure and New Whey are good products -- I am just pointing out my own experience in case anyone else is having similar "issues."
