Thankyou yeah I think everything went off without a hitch. I was pretty nervous about all of this so im glad things went so smoothly...and yeah sure im in pain but, its not neeeearly as bad as I was thinking it was going to be. I mean i've hered nothing but, horror stories these past few weeks and I honestly thought I was gonna feel like dying or something.

Although I must admit draining out my blood and stuff isint pretty.

I saw you mentioned soaking in a tub... be sure to check with your doc first. That was one of the things I was not supposed to do following surgery.

Glad to see your spirits are high. Can't wait to see the six pack when you heal up enough.

ahh thanks man. Yeah im excited to see the results. I know I will have to work to get the muscles to push out but, now that my skin is tight it will actually show up. haha. Thanks for the advice on the tub I won't be doing that then.

You will be in shock when you take the binder off. I can only equate it to when someone loses a limb, they still have phantom pain. I feel like sometimes I have phantom panni. I think my belly button itches and I reach 4 inches lower then it really is now.

My PS instructions were that I could shower, but no submerging in water until drains are out and those exit sites are sealed.

I am sure they are all different, but I wouldn't while the drains are in.
Really? Man im really excited. I hope im as shocked as she says im gonna be. Its so funny you talking about your belly button being alot higher than you remember and sometimes it shocks you. I bet that is 100% true. I've been fat for so long now seeing myself in this new way will be very very werid and strange. I bet it takes some getting used too.

Again thanks for the tip about the bath. I will be taking showers only until I take my drains out...which looks like 2 weeks or so from now.

My swelling took a good 6 months to go away. My surgeon said it takes 6-12 months, so it just keeps getting better and better. When I finally took off my binder I cried because for the 1st time in my life I had a flat tummy. It’s awesome. Keep walking and resting. I also recovered much quicker and was in less pain with the body lift than with GBS.

Glad you're home and doing well! (And I'm sure the nurses were hitting on you!)
