Talking Vacation worked for me!!!!

I posted a couple weeks ago that I felt disgusted that I was not loosing. Well I went on vacation, and returned yesterday. When I got on the scale this morning I was down 7lbs!!!! Wooo Hooo!!! I think I may have to start pulling out some smaller sizes for my clothes. I am starting to swim in my current clothes

I have to admit though that it was hard being on vacation and not eating. It made me realize how much food was a part of vacation in the past. I really don't miss eating at home, but being around places that I have gone to since I was a kid, and were special because it was only once a year, made it hard.

But on another up side, I spent hardly any money since we did not spend $100/day on dinner

Wow, you did GOOD!!! I guess we have to keep explaining to ourselves that although food was fun to be involved in on vacation, that focus can change and still have a wonderful time! AND save money, too!!!! Wooo Hoooooo!!!!

I leave on 7/26 on vacation to Seattle (I'm in Texas) for 12 days, doing a combination of things -- true vacation (resort), visit my family, and spend time with my best friend who moved there from here two years ago. I've been there before on a number of occasions, and food was important to me too --- then. Now we are planning to focus on other things, so many things to focus on in that part of the country. Love it.

The challenge for me will come in December when my husband and I are going on a Caribbean cruise. I thought about that at length when we were considering it at first, and I decided, heck, I wanna snorkel!!!

That's great! I went to a wedding this weekend and lost a pound. That would have never happened in the past. (Especially since the bride was a Dairy Queen employee and they had a DQ ice cream wedding cake.)

7 pounds is a GREAT vacation. Ha Ha! Sounds like you had a good time too. Way to go!
