Can you dump on vitamins?
Hello all,
I had a strange thing happen yesterday morning and am looking for some insights.
I have never dumped, but have not eaten anything that should cause it either. I did take too big of a bite of fish one night and thought I was going to vomit. After several minutes of trying not to vomit, I got the hiccups and the pain and nausea went away. Whew!!
So yesterday morning, I got up and immediately took my vitamins. Two chewable multi vitamins, a chewable vitamin C, and a couple sublingual B-12s. I sipped a little water with them.
All of a sudden, I got really hot and sweaty, I got really pale, thought I was going to pass out and/or vomit. I laid down for about 15 minutes and then I felt fine again.
Sooooo... is it possible that this was a dumping experience? Can a person dump on vitamins? I never have before, so that seems unlikely, but I can't figure out what else it could have been. Any ideas?

Hi Mike;
Yes, you can definately dump from vitamins - trust me!
Yep, you had a dumping experience! Fun, aren't they? Remember, the pouch is still trying to figure things out, and what we may tolerate one day, we could dump on later.
I had to throw mine out and find something else more palatable. I found the Flintstones to be good. The taste is not bad.
I usually take them when I'm eating breakfast.

Yes indeedy!
Been there, done that! Switched to Viactiv, haven't had a problem since. (Oh, I tried my original chewables 3 times before it clicked!)

Pouches seem to be more accepting of vitamins and supplements when there is food in them. I usually take them about 15 minutes AFTER I have eaten, and not all at the same time. I spread them out through the course of the day.

Thanks all!
I am going to be more careful about this from now on. It never even dawned on me that I could dump on them. The good news is...."I dump!!!" Yea! That should keep me away from sugar.
I have no issues with hunger, and I occasionally crave a flavor, but nothing that I can't deal with. The one thing I do still crave was one of my biggest addictions before.... Dairy Queen Blizzards!!
Has anyone tried the sugar free ice cream? Maybe I should just stay away from it entirely since I have cold-turkeyed off of ice cream at this point, but on the other hand...maybe I don't need to deprive myself of it entirely if there is a no-sugar, low calorie, low fat alternative. It would not be on the menu for a while, but I'm just curious if anyone has had any experience with it.
Thanks!

Mike,
I've always loved ice cream, and I have the supermarket brand of sugar free ice cream in the houee (look at the contents - this one has less calories and fat than frozen yogurt of the sugar free fat free variety, and tastes better).
I have had a small helping when I had a yen for it. The small helping was enough (a few teaspoons).
I just don't have that lovin' feelin' for ice cream or anything sweet anymore. Now that is amazing!

Interestingly, maybe when I try ice cream (sugar free) I might find that I don't even like it anymore (and I work for an ice cream company, so that would be interesting).
For Mrs Squishy's birthday today, our daughter made chocolate chip cookies from the Baking With Splenda cookbook. They had semi-sweet chocolate chips in them. I ate one, but could not even taste the chocolate. Maybe the same thing will happen with other foods I liked.
This is sure creating some interesting changes in our bodies and lives.
