I, for one, would be very flattered to receive that phone call. I think he will be too.
I liked the idea of meeting half-way too. It has a little adventure and a little safety (you'll have your own transportation).
Let us know how things go!!!

Update....
Sorry I didn't most sooner but I got married!!!!!!
JUST KIDDING...but that would be funny though.
My computer has been in the shop and I just got it back. I called his office and left a voice mail on his mailbox. I identified myself, and left a name and number a couple days ago.
Most would be concerned about not hearing back yet but I know he has a "flexible" schedule and isn't in the office a lot.
I am also getting pics taken this weekend. Purely coincidentally and maybe I will post one. I have never voluntarly had pics taken and I want pics of me and my kiddo together.
I usually go for gut feelings on this. I'm not overly worried or overly concerned. As far as meeting for coffee or something I would probably want to do it where he lives as my mom is near and could watch my daughter. I know I've been out of this dating cycle for a while but I still think it could be a faux pas to bring my kiddo on a date.
I also conviently need a fishing liscence but I'm scared that it would look too "convienent" if I when to his office. Seriously though I do need a fishing lis. LOL.

You totally got me on that one. I screamed out "WHAT!" so that my whole family asked and of course, I had to tell them...how embarrassing...
Sounds like all is well. Glad to hear.

Made contact.....
and was rejected. @SS!
I'm still wondering what ticks me off more...Being turned down or the excuse that he is seeing someone. Well hello if you are seeing someone why do you check your profile every 24 hours. Personally I would be pissed of if I was involved in a relationship with someone and they kept the message up.
It also brings up insecurities I thought I was done with. I used to blame my weight for not getting dates and I have such a great personality, a pretty face etc. So when I was fat I told myself these things, well now I'm no longer MO so am I being rejected on my personality????
I just didn't realize that I would take it so personally and I'm mad at myself for taking it personally.

I'm sorry it didn't work out. I would sign up for Match.com for the minimum time!! I did and am now dating the man of my dreams. We are going on 5 months now. He is the 3rd guy I met on there. He is the best. I am totally head over heels in love.
Don't' give up hon. There is someone out there for you. Don't be afraid and DON'T BE CHEAP! Your happiness is worth the few $$s it costs to sign up. I met my man within one month of signing up. I also have 3 coworkers that have met their husbands on match.com. It really works.
Good luck sweetie.

Don't sweat it. No need to give in to any insecurities...it just wasn't meant to be. Better to know that right away than to waste time with the wrong guy.
Any guy who is in a relationship but maintains a dating page is a loser. Any guy that lies about being in a relationship is a loser... so.... it sounds to me like everything worked out as it should.
You deserve soooooo much better, and that guy is still out there looking for you. Some day you will find each other.

I am not proud of saying this: I have been divorced twice, and am now married to my third husband.
I bring this up because I was in and out of the dating game. It always amazed me how one guy could be totally uninterested (or is the word disinterested?) and another would come along that thought I was worth his time.
Who knows what is going on in this guy's life or mind. And really, it doesn't matter. It's not about rejection, it's about going through people to find the ones that you want to spend time with.
It's not an easy time, for sure, and insecurities are natural (we all have them).
You go, girl!

Easy for me to say, but go easy on yourself. It may feel like rejection and that gets all the emotions going. However, it just means this one is not right for you. Keep it up, there's someone out there just waiting to meet you!

on a whim, I sent in an application to a place called Dateline. I was one year out from a divorce and had two kids ages 6 and 9.
I never thought I'd get any response. But then I started receiving notices in the mail (no e-mail then!) about possible matches. The guys on the matches also received my name. I met some good guys and some out right weird ones. A couple have remained in my life as friends.
But one guy stole my heart...and he still has it. We married after our relationship was in it's 5th year. 27 years together total.
So my advice, go for it if only for a short while. You just never know when something wonderful will happen.
