Add as much as you want so that it still tastes good. I drank NSA CIB for the longest time after surgery. It was a godsend.
I didn't like the Unjury. It made me gag. Unflavored tasted nasty to me! lol

Pat, yup its normal what you are experiencing. Had this feeling for months and you never know what will send you off. Just keep to the things that are working for you. It will change over time, but I found in the first 6 months, I would make something to eat and then no way I could eat it. Protein drinks were the worst. Now I am fine with a few of them.
Best advice is variety in your diet....don't keep to the same foods as you will soon become bored of them and may not want to look at them, let alone taste them ever again...its important for us to have choices.

My big "oh my god, I can't stand this now" right after surgery was milk, in any way shape or form... I used to LOOOVE milk before surgery, but for the first couple months post-op, I couldn't swallow the stuff-- which made taking most of the protein supplements a challenge, since so many of them are supposed to be mixed with milk! (Hence, Profect/New Whey vials were my lifesaver.)
My taste for milk has since returned, though-- now I drink a glass most nights before bed.
The only other foods I've "lost a taste for" haven't been so much because they TASTED different, just that I really can't tolerate them anymore and psychologically they just aren't as appealing... mainly pasta. I'm Italian, so pasta has always been a staple food-- but now, the most I can have without feeling awful is a couple of forkfuls, so I hardly touch the stuff anymore. (Now the meatballs are a different story... )

Unjury is very good, but has temperature restrictions. "Any Whey" unflavored protein is excellent, and can tolerate any temp

Pat, I've had an identical experience to you. Started out with the same drinks, now find them disgusting. Coffee tastes like tar to me even though I constantly try to drink it.
I am now loving crystal light. Mostly the lemon, but if I get bored I will switch to a different flavor. Costco carries the lemon, but Target and Walmart has all flavors. The protein drink I enjoy right now is Slim Fast LOW CARB. It must say low carb or it will have too much sugar in it. Can only drink them when they are VERY chilled, though.
Oh, and I just bought my first case of Propell flavored water and have enjoyed them.
Good luck experimenting...

Unjury is my top choice in protein drinks.. but only the vanilla, chocolate and unflavored. I use unflavored the most and mix it with different flavors of International coffee's... chai tea, vanilla cafe, cafe veinna.. all are SF.
Just the last 2 days I've been able to skip my protein supp drink for the first time since surgery!
Oscar likes Isopure in the bottle. It comes pre-mixed clear liquid. One bottle is 20oz of liquid and has 40 grams of protein.. my surgeons swears by this stuff, in fact he got the hospital to start serving it to his paitents while they are in the hospital. I usedit for a while after surgery but it has to be really really cold or I think it tasts funny, oscar agrees. SO he pours some in a glass and returns the rest to the frig, until he's ready for more. He drinks one of these a day, one muscle milk and one unjury. Good variety so he doesn't get bored with his food!

One thing I can truly say is that I would NEVER eat beef jerky pre-op . . . the thought of it was disgusting . . . now I LOVE beef jerky. I buy at least $30 worth of jerky a week . . . I've eaten beef jerky and eggs for breakfast . . .
Some of my other tastes have changed - I don't appreciate a good pizza anymore . . . and I love coffee .. . I never drank coffee pre-op.
