Default Medications

I dont know if this was ever talked about, I have been looking. If we dont absorb all the nutrients from our food and vitamins..what happens when we take medications?

Nobody knows if medications are also not absorbed all the way? The only reason I ask is.. I am on antibiotics, and seem to be healing SLOWLY... and i wonder if that is the reason.

That is a good question Pam. Although the antibiotics aren't really nutrients, they are absorbed into the blood stream through the vascularized smooth muscle of our digestive tract. Most I think are metabolized in the liver and excreted by the kidneys. That is why tylenol can be so hepatotoxic. If you have been on antibiotics for a long time your body can become immune to them and you must seek a different treatment. I have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, and I have been on antibiotics just about since June 6, 2004. For my lungs, it is a slow process, but for an ear infection or strep throat I recover as any other healthy person would. I hope this helps you in some way.

Hugs,

Traci

Yipee, I found it! To find my own posts is very difficult, but I have no problem going all the way to Christmas time posts and never find yesterdays!

Oh Well, I am glad it helped a lil bit Pamela.

Hugs,
