I will so be thinking of you all next week. You time has actually come and its just down right amazing. As Beth said, you are acting like a typical pre-op looser - so hold your head high, you deserve every moment of this.

Do you scrapbook or journal (lol) just thinking of preserving these memories :-) - oh, you are just one of the "girls"!

My sincerest hope for you Pat, and all losers to come, is to have as textbook an outcome as I have had! Sometimes I have to remind myself that I've had the surgery I feel so (gasp) normal.

Hmmm, a lot of the pre-op women (including me) felt we needed to clean our houses to prepare for post-op. What do guys do? Wash, fill and tune up the car? Mow the lawn?

I can't wait to follow your progress and hear your war stories--you have such a wonderful perspective on everything. Best of luck Pat!

P.S. One day liquid!! Gimme a break! I was on liquid for 3 weeks pre-op...heh heh, but I didn't have a bowel prep so I guess we're even!

I had a visit from a chaplain when I was in the hospital - he asked me if I wanted to pray with him - I told him I was a recovering Roman Catholic - so no. Besides, American Idol was on.............I feel bad now - I think I may have hurt his feelings. I guess that's the RC "neurosis" kicking in.

Pat: You're almost there! You're journey has been WAY longer than others, and you haven't had your surgery yet. We've all been saving your spot on the losers bench for a long time. Good luck to you - you're going to be happy when this is all over and you're a BIG 'OL LOSER! Godspeed (oh God, Catholic school again!)

Hey Everyone -

Thanks for your words and support. I'm doing good right now. Been keeping myself busy, and getting everything I need for the hospital. I even had my haircut so I don't have to mess with it (yes, very, very short).

I'm having our son take the before pics tomorrow, and post them in all it's glory!

Again, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Hey Pat,
Here you are the day before the day!! Just keep reminding yourself to breathe regularly....just gulp the mag cit down as fast as you can to avoid its "pleasant lemony flavor".

Is your doc thinking of throwing you out on Weds? I don't want to drive up to the hospital and find out you're already at home, laying poolside, sipping (sf) mojitos... But seriously, if you're not going to be there, let me know, 'kay?

You will be in the thoughts and prayers of every person on this forum, Pat. We will hold you up and carry you through this.
