Default Airports suck...lol

Know what I'm learning today?? That airports are not very WLS friendly...especially in respect to the food. lol I know, not the most show stopping topic...but as I'm sitting here in the Atlanta airport for the next 5 hours, I'm contemplating what on earth there will be for me to eat here. I have my trusty banana..but that only goes so far.

Maybe I'll just settle for a small turkey or ham sandwich...and only eat the meat off. hahaha Can you tell I'm bored at the airport and have nothing better to do?? ~sigh~

Default From one kitty another...

If there's a Starbuck's there at the airport, check and see if they have their fruit and cheese plate. It's saved me several times when I was out and needed some protein and fruit for my little pouch!

Thanks for the info!! I didn't even know they had those...and I can see a Starbucks from where I'm sitting. I was starting to think I might have to hunt down a real restaurant, which I haven't seen yet...but it just seems so wasteful to order a whole meal for myself these days! lol

I agree, airports suck...but I was also going to mention Starbucks....my lifeline.

I have issues as they won't let you take on liquids anymore, thus my protein vials don't make it through security, nor my protein powder. So I opt for starbucks or sometimes they have a chef salad, or like you said, eat the turkey out of a sandwich. Depends how big the airport is, but most times you can adapt what they have to meet your needs. Protein bars in your bag make it through security!

I ended up getting a Chef salad from Starbucks for lunch...I ate half the meat and cheese off the top and that's it. lol The lady next to me looked at me like I was crazy when I threw the rest away...oh well.

Tim.. I don't get HUNGRY hungry like I used to, but I do get a little hungry if I don't eat. But I still can't eat very much, even when I am hungry...and regardless of whether or not I really feel hungry, you still have to eat SOMEthing. Worse not to eat at all.

I usually just go to a sandwich place in the airports and get tuna, NO bread; or turkey, cheese, lettuce... no bread-- I put some mayo in it and roll it up into a turkey rollup. lol
