Lightbulb Im thinking about broadcasting support group

Hi guys, my boyfriend is a sofrware, IT computer genius. He just got access to getting a server and he discussed taking my support group and putting it on the internet!!! Isnt that cool? So we are talking about taping and then putting in on the internet or trying to broadband it and have people in on it live!

Anyone have experience in this? Anyone outside of San Diego interested in participating in this or being apart of a support group that way? Would you watch? Any suggestions?

I look forward to your input! This is something that wouldnt be broadcasted or hosted by thinnertimes, but I maybe I could put a link or something. Once it's solid Im sure talking to Dr C he may be interested in it, wouldnt that make him stellar as a WLS Cnter or excellence provider? On line, in person and streamline support groups? Cool huh?

( I totally feel like a geek getting excited over the "techie" stuff )

Default I'll bite

I'd be very interested... you ought to talk to Pat (Baron Patrick) about the hookup, as well, he's already hosted one call. If non-Callery patients can be included, I'd be happy to attend virtually.

I'd be thrilled if you did something like that - there are no support groups that I know of in my area!

That sounds great Bridget. Even though I am not out of State, it is hard for me to attend the support group meetings due to my little one and my schedule. There is a lot of memebers who go through this procedure and their surgeon's office don't offer support groups. Great Idea. I am rooting it all falls into place for you soon Bridget.

That would be AWESOME!!

Now that I am no longer in San Diego (moved to Idaho) I would love the chance to attend support group with everyone again or al least watch and learn from what took place at the meeting!

Keep me posted, I am totally down with it!
